Why we LOVE to go back to Bonaire

Rec Diving’s annual trip to Bonaire was a week filled with fun – both topside and underwater. As always, the diving and snorkeling was easy and relaxing. 36 of us enjoyed critters galore on the boat each day and on the house reef at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort.  Frog fish, tarpon, barracuda, sea horses, moray eels and some very friendly turtles were among our favorite sightings. Bonaire’s reefs are healthy and teeming with colorful fish. We enjoyed nightly sunset dives and a few of us even a dive at sunrise!

Thanksgiving Dinner was served up seaside as new friendships were forged and great diving accomplishments were celebrated. Rec Diving congratulations go out to Sue Lawrence and Elli Schinella for achieving Century Diver status by logging their 100th dive on the trip. Congratulations to Betsy Jackson on logging dive #50.  Congratulations to Karinna and Nicholas Bonnett and Nancy Warner for completing their first ocean dives in Bonaire.  And a special Rec Diving congratulations goes out to brand new divers Micaela and Shaun Muzzarelli for successfully completing their open water dives and achieving the status of Junior Open Water Diver.  Hooray to all!

Rec Diving heads back to Bonaire next November. (We can never stay away for long:) We look forward to another great trip and as always we welcome you all to join us!
