This place is definitely living up to it's reputation. It is the healthiest, most colorful reef we've been diving on. The endless hard and soft coral makes for a landscape that is just beautiful. Combine that with the countless anthias, wrasse, angelfish, and 42 species of butterflyfish and it is truly a mind-blowing burst of color on every dive. The crazy critters have been out to greet us too.

A great big Happy New Year to you! The holiday season at Rec Diving was busy with new diver certifications on both Rec Diving holiday trips to Bonaire and Cayman Brac. Both holiday trips were full of laughter, adventure, new friends and LOTS of underwater beauty. Now, we start the New Year thankful for the special time we spend exploring the ocean and especially grateful for our many opportunities to introduce new divers and snorkelers to our beautiful underwater world. Topside, we're excited to be adding a blog to our website to share with all of you even more about what's happening at Rec Diving. What’s in store?

We had so much fun last year, we had to go back to Turks and Caicos aboard the Turks and Caicos Explorer II. Once again, we're taking a group of divers down to explore this group of islands in some of the deepest blue water in the Caribbean. Covering 193 square miles of the Atlantic Ocean, this is the third largest coral reef system and the island offers some of the best tropical beaches in the world.
Our week will be spent diving the best sites off Providenciales, West and South Caicos. From Sharks and turtles to a variety of micro-life, the wildlife will keep your eyes and cameras busy. If you're ready for some of the best diving that the Caribbean has to offer give us a call, spaces are going fast.

We're taking reservations for Rec Diving's next big awesome adventure. We truly believe we have found the best of both worlds - all of the diving convenience of a liveaboard dive boat, plus all of the living convenience of a first class exclusive resort. Where have we found such a gem? In the middle of the Banda Sea on a private island in the Indonesian Archipelago. How do we get there? We fly by private charter jet service out of Bali. And the name of this magical place? Wakatobi Dive Resort.
We are going to be in Wakatobi February 11-22, 2011 on their 11-night package. We will have the resort almost all to ourselves. You will see no other dive operators or cruise ships. The diving is easy and world class (think Bonaire with clown fish and so much more)....
