Rec Diving's annual trip to Bonaire was a week filled with fun - both topside and underwater. As always, the diving and snorkeling was easy and relaxing. We enjoyed critters galore on the boat each day and on the house reef at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort. Schools of jacks, squid, frog fish, turtles, tarpon, barracuda, sea horses, moray eels and a very friendly octopus were among our favorite sightings. Bonaire's reefs are healthy and teeming with fish. We enjoyed nightly sunset dives and even a few dives at sunrise!
Thanksgiving Dinner was served up seaside as new friendships were forged and great diving accomplishments were celebrated. Rec Diving congratulations go out to dive buddies Pat Herrel and Walt Ohrbom for logging their 300th dive together. Congratulations to Bob Manix-Cramer for achieving Century Diver status with his 100th dive. Congratulations to Matt Kaczor for achieving his Master Diver rating. Congratulations to Betsy Jackson and John Poris for successfully completing their first night dive. And congratulations to Gale Poris for experiencing scuba for the very first time. Bonaire was the perfect place for her to log her first dive - we hope it will be the first of many!
Rec Diving heads back to Bonaire in January and February. (We can never stay away for long:) We look forward to another great trip and as always we welcome you all to join us!
